Most of my knitting time these days is done in short, on-the-go bursts -- in a meeting, waiting for the girls to get out of one class or another, or while helping Isabelle with her homework. And since finishing the latest blankie, I'm heartily sick of garter stitch, and hankering for something with a little bit of complexity. So I need something that balances easy-peasy with interesting, that combines portable with prettykins.
What's a girl to do?
Knit another So-Called Scarf, of course. This time in Malabrigo Stonechat, to match my hat. I am really looking forward to wearing on the long, cold, dangerously icy walk to the bus stop. (Apologies for the picture -- it was snapped while waiting for Ellie's ride to school, so I didn't have time to find a nice neutral background or get the color just right.) It's perfect for all of those staccato moments in our days.
Fittingly, Tom Skilling, the world's most enthusiastic weatherman, says we're probably due for another 15 inches of snow before spring arrives, so I should have plenty of opportunities to wear it!
