Question 1: We are thinking about moving the girls into the same bedroom and turning Ellie's (tiny and poorly-designed) room into a playroom. Our biggest concern is how to get them to go to sleep. Suggestions? Anecdotes? Other issues I should consider?
Question 2: I am working on the trekking socks (sorry, no photo) and they seem like they might be a little largish. How snug, exactly, should a hand-knit sock be in order to keep it from falling down like a slouch sock while still permitting circulation to reach my toes?
Question 3: I have (in a cheap, desperate ploy to ingratiate myself with the principal of Isabelle's school to ensure we get the first grade teacher of choice next year) volunteered to lead an activity at "Discovery Day" this spring. Essentially, I'll teach a 40-minute class on a topic of my choice, and I would love for it to be knitting/fiber related, because I doubt "Unlock the secrets of your TiVo" is quite what they're looking for. I don't think it's realistic to try and teach actual knitting in such a short time, but perhaps finger crochet? Or making those little felt balls out of roving? The kids will range from 1st to 4th grade, and the school will provide supplies, or money to buy supplies, within reason. Again, any advice is welcome.
